& Julie Stanchieri
Welcome to Law Suits!
What began as a vision in 2018 has come full circle—and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this unforgettable evening with you. Preparing for this year’s event has been a true labour of love, and seeing it all come together is nothing short of incredible.
This night would not be possible without the dedication and spirit of our lawyer-models, who have stepped far outside their comfort zones to walk the runway in support of a cause close to all our hearts. Your courage and enthusiasm are the heartbeat of Law Suits.
We are deeply grateful to our generous financial and in-kind sponsors, whose contributions have made this event possible.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to our committee members for their tireless efforts behind the scenes, and to Miyo Yamashita, Kat Aptekar, Keith Clarke and their team at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this journey.
And finally, thank you for being here. Your presence tonight supports groundbreaking early detection research at The Princess Margaret—one of the top five cancer research centres in the world. Every dollar raised brings us closer to reaching our collective goal: transforming cancer outcomes and creating a world free from the fear of cancer.
We hope you enjoy every moment—spectacular fashion, delicious food and drink, and the incredible spirit of community that makes Law Suits so special.
With gratitude,
Founder & Co-Chair Law Suits

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT & CEO OF THE PRINCESS MARGARET CANCER FOUNDATION
Miyo Yamashita
Thank you to everyone for attending and supporting tonight’s Law Suits charity fashion show!
First, I would like to acknowledge and extend a very special ‘thank you’ to our Law Suits Chairs, Kerri Parslow and Julie Stanchieri. Their bold vision, boundless style and incredible commitment are unparalleled. We are grateful that they’ve joined forces tonight to transform this runway into a pathway towards a future free from the fear of cancer.
At The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, we know we can lead the world in understanding, diagnosing, and treating cancer. Cancer is still the leading cause of death in Canada, but, together, we are making progress. Today, the overall 5-year survival rate for those diagnosed with cancer is 64% — up from 55% in the early 1990’s. If we can start to catch cancer earlier through genetic testing and new technologies such as a simple blood test, both of which we have pioneered at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, cancer survival rates will improve even more dramatically.
That’s why every dollar raised tonight will support early detection and innovative treatments so that we can give cancer patients everywhere brighter tomorrows.
As we look to the future, I am hopeful and know that together, we can transform cancer outcomes — not just for patients here at The Princess Margaret, but for patients and families across Canada and around the world.
Thank you again for your commitment to create a world free from the fear of cancer.
Sincerely,
Dr. Miyo Yamashita, PhD
